  27. shipping, plus 7%. So, ~ $2200  Now, this isn't even considering the
  28. fact that spending 2k on a machince frm outside the province will get
  29. you a far better beast that is, 16MB instead of 8, 1,7Gig instead of
  30. 750MB etc..

  33. ( I thought the same thing until I saw an A3000 using a VGA monitor and 
  34. ( practically every piece of software ran on it, flicker free for most at 
  35. ( that.  Software ran from a a .MOD player to a terminal program to games 
  36. ( to CanDo.

  38. That's cause a 3k outputs at ~31k. THe standard amiga output is 15.XXk.

  40. ( It got nothing to do with proprietary stuff at all.. it has lots to do 
  41. ( with the clone business and once Amiga clones become a reality, then you 
  42. ( will see prices dropping.

  44. "Amiga" clones will never see the light of day.  You might see something
  45. that might have (once) been something remotely similar to an "Amiga".
